Virginia Knight Bachelor, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Virginia loved her grandchildren and loved going to the beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Knight and Flora McLean Knight and brother, Crosby Knight.
Left to cherish her memories are children, Ginnie Tate and husband Mike, and James Gardiner and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Joshua, Stephen, Will, and Rebecca Tate, Emily and Thomas Gardiner, and Brandon and Kyle Weidener; brother, Thomas Knight; step-mother, Connie Knight; special friend, Bill Johnson; and special friends John and Shelia Weidener. Her first cousins, Nancy, Emily, Billy, Christine, and Pat loved getting together whenever possible with her. She leaves many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Sibby. She also leaves many friends who worked with her at Black and Decker, and her breakfast and lunch buddies.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at Reeves Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church with Pastor Kong officiating. She will be laid to rest in Lafayette Memorial Park.
