Mrs. Virginia D. Whisnant passed away November 15, 2012 at Sharon Towers Presbyterian Retirement Home, Charlotte, NC.
Mrs. Whisnant was born August 24, 1911 in Anson County, NC. She was a 1932 graduate of St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Lockhart Gammon Class and the Service and Fellowship Group.
Mrs. Whisnant was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Whisnant. Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn West Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012, with the Reverend Von Clemans officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside service, at Harry & Bryant Co., 500 Providence Road, Charlotte.
