Vivian V. Burkett, 81, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011.
She was born on March 15, 1930 in Clay County, Indiana to William Escott and Lydia Clark Escott.
Surviving are her children, Vivian Meek and husband John of Spencer, and Arther Burkett and wife Nina of Greencastle; four grandchildren, Sheri Yocom and husband Mike of Brazil, David Green and wife Jodi of Harmony, Joel Burkett of Greencastle and Amber Kendall of Greencastle; five great grandchildren, Taylar Yocom, Nicolas Yocom, Emily Yocom, Jayden Green and Dayten Green; a sister-in-law, Ruth Escott; a brother-in-law, Grant Allee; four nephews and one niece.
Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Tesmer officiating. Interment will follow at Little Walnut Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 11 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
