Voncile Stowe Abbattista

Voncile Stowe Abbattista, 92, of Alpharetta, passed away on March 15, 2011. Voncile was of the Stow family that originated in 1870, when Marion Stow traveled from South Carolina in a covered wagon and established his family on Francis Road in the Midway community. She also worked as a recovery nurse in New York City for over 25 years. Voncile is survived by her nephews: Everett Stowe, Jr., of Lawrenceville, GA, Barry Wayne Stowe, of Snellville, GA; niece: Linda Stowe Woody, of Suches, GA; as well as additional nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers: JB Stowe, Bay Stowe, Jr., Dr. Charles Stowe, Everett Stowe, Sr.; and sister: Willie Mae Stowe Autry. A visitation will be held for her on Thursday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home and her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at Roswell Funeral Home with burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
