Wallace E. Dusenbury

CLEMMONS- Wallace E. "Gene" Dusenbury, 87, of Clemmons passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was born November 9, 1925 in Washington D.C. a son of Walter Vernon and Rachel Mae Stevenson Dusenbury.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Dusenbury of Clemmons, NC; two daughters, Judy (Bobby) Hoover of Alderson WV, Emily (Leonard) Hutchens Jr. of Clemmons, NC; one son, William (Eileen) Ball of Mt. Pleasant, NC; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Gene was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on Submarine Force Lizard Fish, Life member of Tidewater Submarine Vets, VFW member, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 62, and a Past Governor of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1028.
He was employed by Wilson Trucking Company for 45 years until retirement.
Gene was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather who fought a valiant fight to remain with his family over the seven years of his illness.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA. Visitation will be from 6to 8 p.m. Friday at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville. Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel in Clemmons, NC are assisting the family with arrangements.
