Wallace Edward Gilin, age 85, passed away December 6, 2012. Beloved husband of the late M. Jane. Loving father to Barbara (Jerry Lindauer) Gilin, David (Dianne), Jerry (Jacqueline), Susan (Dr. Jonathan) Saxe, Jane (Dan) Alessandrini. Grandfather to Ryan, Michael (Katie), Sarah (Jordan), Rachel, Daniel, Jonathan, Katie, Emily, Benjamin, Jimmy, Hannah, and David. Great-grandfather to Kierra, Lydia, and Kendra. Brother to David (Ann), Michael (Colleen), Gene (Milly) and the late Gretchen. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Wallace served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a proud veteran of WWII and a 1945 graduate of De La Salle High School.
Visitation Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Kaul Funeral Home 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp. Instate at 9:30am until time of Mass at 10am at St. Therese of Lisieux 48115 Schoenherr, Shelby Twp. Memorial contributions to The LaSallian Fund in care of De La Salle High School would be appreciated by the family.
