Ayres, Walter Vernon – 95 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Vernon was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lark Ayres; wife, Louise Ayres; 7 brothers and 2 sisters; and grandsons, Lynn and Chris. Vernon is survived by his son, Jerry and wife Ginger; grandsons: Paul and wife Donna, Mark and wife Stacy; granddaughter, Tammy and husband Johnny; several great grandchildren; and great great granddaughter, Isabella. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 28th from 6-7pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home.
