WANDA L. ALBER, 86, in Andover, MA of congestive heart failure and Alzheimer's disease on August 26th with her loving family by her side. Wife of the late Carl Alber, she was born in Brooklyn NY in 1926 to Dorothy and Frank Lisiecki and was raised in Port Washington NY. She and Carl moved to East Setauket where they raised their 4 children and spent their happiest years. They retired to Cape Cod in the late 80's, but in their hearts, Old Post Road was always home. She loved gardening, reading, antiques and exploring historic houses up and down the east coast. Wanda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Predeceased by her beloved sister, Marcia Gaines, she is survived by her brother, Rev. Paul V. Gallagher of Richmond, VA, her children Susan Carlson of Newington, CT, Serena Watson and her husband Conrad of Barnstable, MA, Lisa Wasson and her husband Jack of Newburyport MA and Peter and his wife Mary of New York, NY, her niece and nephews, Andrea, Mark, Jeff and Noel Gaines, grandchildren Jack, Kate, Brian, Kevin, Liz, Sarah, Jay, Patrick and Grace, and great grandchild, Wes. Visiting hours will be held at O.B. Davis Funeral Home in Port Jefferson Station on Thursday August 30th from 7-9pm. Mass will be held at St. James RC Church in Setauket on Friday August 31st at 9:30am. Burial will be with her beloved Carl in Oak Grove Cemetery, Stony Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Wanda's name to the Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
