Wanda Joy Snider, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at a local hospital in Abilene, TX. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Thursday evening, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Wanda was born on January 24, 1930 in Ranger, Texas to the late Thomas Elner and Iva Hise Bankston. She enjoyed ceramics, porcelain dolls, oil painting, and was an avid book reader. Wanda was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul Snider; a sister, Jean Bird; a son, Michael Snider; and a grandson, Matthew Griffing-Ford.

Survivors include her two sons, Kevin and Keith Snider; her daughter, Deborah Church; grandchildren, Tiffany Wildman and husband, Brent, Joshua Griffing and wife, Kandy, Natasha Daniel and husband, Garren, Miranda Coleman, and Lisa Bleeker-Ford; and twelve great-grandchildren.
