William Patrick Kersey, 54, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 10:00AM Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be private later in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Thursday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Father Michael Kavanaugh will officiate. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4074 Chambers Road, Macon 31206 or Mount De Sales Academy, 851 Orange Street, Macon 31201.
Bill was born in Macon and was a lifelong resident. He was a 1976 graduate of Mount De Sales Academy and was the owner/operator of Little Man's Store. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn Crosby Kersey and Brigadier General Benjamin L. Kersey, Jr., a sister, Sarah Kersey Wilbourn and a brother, Benjamin L. Kersey, III. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lisa Hadarits Kersey of Macon; daughters, Becky (Matt) Kersey Smith and MaryBeth Kersey Bateman all of Macon; grandchildren, Mia, Matthew, and Carter Smith, and Will Bateman; sister, Pam (Mike) Kersey Harper of Ormond Beach, FL.; several nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends.
