William "Bill" H. Abbott, Sr. 67, of Louisville, passed away on the evening of December 1, 2012 with his family by his side. He was a retiree of KY Truck Plant and a Catholic by faith. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and play golf. Bill was a huge UK fan, dancer, and a big jokster and prankster. He loved spending time with his family and especially the grandchildren he adored.
Cherishing his memory are his children, Lorri (Thomas) Tanner, Lynn (Tony) Filburn, William "Bill" (Nikki) Abbott, Jr; grandchildren, Trey, Kayla and Amanda; brothers and sisters, Carol Shannon, Frankie (Dorothy), Howard (Sandy) and William Sr. (Kay ) Simpson, and Patricia (Joe) Morris, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
