WILLIAM "Billy" ADKINS
Our beautiful William Edward Adkins "Billy", 63, of Twin Falls, Idaho, now in the hands of Our Heavenly Father has left this world surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday, January 8, 2012.
Billy was born January 20, 1948, in Twin Falls to Addie and Mayme Adkins. He resided at Hillcrest Home in Twin Falls for most of his life and enjoyed spending weekends at home with his parents and sister Mary.
Billy was a kind and loving spirited soul who taught all of us compassion, understanding and unconditional love. He enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics and won many awards for swimming. Billy was known for his love of the Lord, music, the harmonica, family, baseball, swimming and track. Billy spent many hours playing baseball with his dad, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing the harmonica while his mother played the piano. He will be missed by his family, all the employees and his friends at Clearwater Care Center, especially Stan.
Billy is survived by his sister, Mary Adkins Murray; his brother, Herb (Sandy) McCabe; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Buzz McCabe and Fred McCabe; his father, Addie Adkins and his mother, Mayme Adkins.
A special thanks to Amber, Jen, Becky, Dr. Mary Beth Curtis and the staff at Hillcrest Homes for loving and taking care of Billy for so many years.
A service of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. East, Twin Falls with his brother, Rev. Herb McCabe officiating. A private family burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Billy was faced with extraordinary obstacles mentally and physically. As he confronted these with such an amazing spirit and character, he taught us that the Lord loves all of us equally without limitations or restrictions.
