William Bass, 61, of Evansville was abruptly taken from our lives from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday, December 17, 2009. He was born October 21, 1948, in North Carolina.
Bill was a fork-lift operator, most recently for Azteca Milling in Henderson, KY and formerly worked for PGW.
He was a member of New Bethel Southern Baptist Church. Bill was a Navy veteran serving in Vietnam.
He was a great father who was dearly loved by his family. Bill had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He was an avid NASCAR and football fan.
Bill is survived by his sons, Zachary and Richie Bass; loving companion, Shellie Westbrook; mother of his children, Goldie Gourley; sister, Patricia Lineberger (William); niece, Monica, nephew, Grady; great-niece, Savannah; great-nephew, Waylon; and his soon-to-come first grandchild.
Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
