Major William K. Bias, US Army Retired, passed away to be with his wife on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born in West Hamlin, WV on January 22, 1935. He was preceded in death by his wife Sonia Bias and by a daughter Vicki Wendle. He is survived by his children, Alicia Bias Long and husband John, William D. Bias and wife Barbara, Scott E. Bias, Michael D. Bias, Keith A. Bias and wife Kelli; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one sister, Delois Preston. Major Bias served in the U.S. Army for 20 years fighting in the Vietnam War which earned him a bronze star. He also served the remainder of his career for GISD as an ROTC commander for Ball HS and as a transportation director. Major Bias earned his bachelor's degree from Marshall University in West Virginia and was a huge fan of the West Virginia Mountaineer's football program. He also collected and maintained a Lionel train collection. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. in San Antonio. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Boots Levine officiating. The interment will follow at Ft.
