William Henry "Bill" Bolanz, Sr., passed away at Robinson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Bill was born in Akron, Ohio on August 1, 1929 to parents Henry and Mary Bolanz. Bill was a Marine Corps. veteran and served his country proudly during the Korean war. Mr. Bolanz enjoyed a career as a long distance truck driver for 50 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 24. Over the years he loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports and enjoyed his extensive gun collection. Bill was most at peace on his John Deere tractor.
Surviving Bill is his wife of 44 years, Connie. Surviving also are his children: William "Bill" Bolanz Jr., Nancy (Carl) Sieber, Henry (Tara) Bolanz, Susan (Brian) Behon, David (Dawn) Bolanz, Connie (Anthony) Kitchen, Shonna Stone and Tammy Ellis. Bill also leaves his sister Mary Lou Bolanz, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Pamela Tilley, his brother Nick Bolanz, grandson Devon Bolanz and his nephew Chris Bolanz.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna, on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M on Saturday, August 31st with Pastor David Ballert officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
