BURNETT, William Michael Sr., "Mike/Papa", 63, of Dunnellon, went to heaven January 5, 2013, after a battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Washington, D.C., to George Burnett, and the late Dolores Sweeney. He was a devoted family man, and is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna; adoring children, Toni Reed, Wm. Michael Burnett Jr. (Renee), Nicole Williams (Dennis), and Kristin Burnett; cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey, Scott, LeeAnn, William Michael III, Caitlyn, Nicolas, Faith, Jase, and Presley; great-grandson, precious Kaiden; brothers, Steve Burnett (Chris), Jerry Wise; sisters, Susan Burnett, Margie Miller, and Denise LaFever; step-siblings, Kim, Craig, and Eric Baker; uncles, aunt; several wonderful nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; nine Godchildren; a large family of in-laws; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, G. Daniel Burnett Sr. Mike was a Steamfitter/Welder for 30 yrs. out of Local 602, Washington D.C., and Tampa Local 123. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon for 29 yrs., and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dunnellon, 11 yrs.. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Nativity Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
