Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012, at Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in Gadsden with a personal memorial service at 7 p.m. for Mr. William Davey, 87, of Gadsden, Alabama, who died October 6, 2012. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery in Manly, Iowa, on Friday, October 12, 2012, with a graveside service at 10 a.m. Mr. Davey was a decorated WWII and Korean War Veteran, having served in the Navy. Mr. Davey is survived by his wife of 30 years, Corrine Davey; stepson, Rick (Joyce) Merkel of Gadsden; step daughter, Sharilyn (James) Forcht of Halls, Tennessee; nephews, Ralph and Jimmy Davey; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
