MONROE, LA – Services to honor the life of Mr. William B. Davis, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Carlos Spaht officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Davis was born November 14, 1924, in Arcadia, LA and passed away on Monday morning, February 4, 2013, at the War Veteran's Home in Monroe, LA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an insurance agent for more than fifty years. Mr. Davis was a member of University Baptist Church and was involved in many civic organizations including the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, York Rites Knights of Templer, Shriner's, and Eastern Star.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Gray) Davis; parents, Grover C. and Olla (Batson) Davis; and all of his siblings. Surviving him are his step-daughters, Barbara Moon and Sharon McMackin; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Davis, Faye Davis, and Onis Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
