William "Bill" A. Moore, 89 years old of River Vale, NJ passed away on January 1, 2013 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Ridgefield Park, NJ, he lived most of his life in River Vale. William was a mechanical engineer for the Pipe Fitters Union Local 274, Ridgefield, NJ. He was a WWII Navy veteran, a member of Hillsdale United Methodist Church, a member of the Westwood American Legion Post # 206, and a member of the Westwood Elks Lodge # 1562. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Helen (Arzt) Moore; his sisters, Carmen Facente and her husband Ron, and Fran Medico and her husband Marc; his nieces, Laura Lambrinos, Lisa Medico, Joan Shank, Pat Buchan and Laura Williams; his nephews, Tom Williams, Peter Facente and Michael Medico and many great nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home, on Saturday 9:30am with a funeral service at 10:30am at Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Hillsdale, NJ. Private cremation will follow funeral services. Visiting hours are on Friday 4-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Hillsdale United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Foundation.
