William Richard "Dickie" Raines, 65, of Old Fort, NC died Saturday, November 12, 2012 at his residence. He was a beloved father and grandfather.
He was born September 30, 1947 in Buncombe County, NC to William Lewis Raines of Swannanoa, NC and to the late Mildred McClure Raines.
In addition to his Father, surviving Mr. Raines are his wife of 42 years, Anne Terrell Raines of the home; two sons, Randy Henson of Ellenboro, NC and Shannon Raines of Old Fort, NC; one daughter, Tammie Sanders and husband, Billy of Old Fort, NC; one sister, Judy Lewis and husband, Howard of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren, Haley, Carrington, Ashley, Taylor, Dustin and Raylyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Old Fort with Rev. Duane Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
