Winifred Sarah Anderson, nee Perry, 99, passed away peacefully, October 14, 2012, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Westford, Vermont, and graduated from the University of Vermont, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Chi Omega. She met her late husband, Kenneth, while they both studied under Payne 4-H Fellowships in Washington, D.C. She was a long-time resident of Elmhurst and Sun City, Arizona, where she was the consummate homemaker, seamstress, bridge player, needleworker, and hostess. For the last four years, she has lived at Sunrise Assisted Living at Naperville North in Naperville, where she has brightened the lives of those she knew. She, in turn, was blessed by the kind and loving care she received from special friends,caregivers, staff, Home Care Physicians and Harbor Light Hospice.
She was the loving mother of Jeanie Guenther, Janet Anderson, and the late Patty Boyle (Jim); grandmother of Kristen (Greg), Eric (Melissa), Grant, and Laura; and great-grandmother of Elie and Theo. Memorial Visitation will be from 9:30-11 on Saturday, October 27, 2012 followed by a Memorial Service at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle, IL 60532 (on Rt. 53, 1/2 mile south of Ogden Ave. / Rt. 34) Phone: 630 964 9392.
