Zilphialu Chance Williams "Nanny", 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Noon in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Len Strozier officiating. The family will meet friends, Monday, April 29, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams was born in Danville, GA to the late Silas V. and Ruby Howell Chance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard M. Williams. Mrs. Williams was retired from Belk's after many years of service. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the ladies Sunday School Class. Her ministry was taking care of the many shut-in's and sending handmade cards. She was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte (Walt) Rowland of Murphy, NC, Melody (Jack) Pyles of Macon, grandchildren, Katrina Andrews (Ernie Jones), Derrick (Sharon) Andrews, Mick (Carol) Rowland, Jennifer (Aaran) Emery, Brad (Natalie) Pyles, Misti (Robert) Stanley, Mandy (Mark) Allen, great grandchildren, Kyle (Reva) Clevenger, Kayla and Kelsey Andrews, Rob and Bethany Rowland, Mason, Lily, and Nathan Chance Emery, Nicole Slay (Rick Cheatham), Melissa (Danny) Smith, Madelyn, Jackson, and Sarah Pyles, Justin, Jacob, and Sam Stanley, Macie, Maddox, Ava and Ella Allen, great-great grandchildren, Devin and Emily Clevenger, Preston Slay, and Ashley Cheatham.
