Rusty (Carroll Boyce) Boggs, 69, husband of Lura S. Boggs, died Friday, May 17, 2013. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Carroll B. Boggs, Sr. and Dorothy Bulman Boggs.Rusty was a journalist and editor employed with the Independent Mail in Anderson, SC and previously with the Charleston Post and Courier. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 48 years are two daughters: Anne Lavely and her husband, Lou, and Victoria Brunson and her husband, Luke. Rusty was Papa to Andrew, Zachary and Benjamin. Rusty (Carroll Boyce) Boggs, 69, husband of Lura S. Boggs, died Friday, May 17, 2013. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Carroll B. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Smith and her husband, Pat of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and his brother Charles Boggs and his wife, Donna of Greer, SC. Rusty was predeceased by both his parents, his infant sister Anne Morris Boggs and his son Anthony Carroll Boggs. All services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial service to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
