"Sometimes you try to make sense out of things and you can't. Because sometimes things just don't make sense." Sooner or later we all figure out that the most important things in life aren't things at all, they are people. The personal relationships and friendships we form, those we encounter on life's path are what's important. Aaron touched many people in his short time with us. He died too young, too soon, tragically on his motorcycle, on August 13, 2010. Aaron was born in Eureka on May 15, 1981 to his loving parents Jim and Joan, into a world surrounded by love. His smiling, good-natured soul made him an instant friend to all. The Binnie family had friends as neighbors and neighbors as friends. The saying, "It takes a village to raise a child", can best sum up Aaron's childhood. He was fortunate to grow up in Freshwater where everybody knows your name and your dogs name too. Aaron was that boy who excelled at everything from a very young age. Growing up he attended Garfield Elementary, and later went on to attend Zane Junior High and Eureka High School. His natural athletic ability made him a stand out basketball player and golfer amongst many other extreme sports that he loved. Aaron was great at observational humor, and his carefree attitude made him so fun to be around. After high school, Aaron began working for his Uncle Tom at Binnie Construction. He learned a lot from his Uncle Tom and went on to obtain his contractors license. Aaron left this world too soon. His life held such hope, such promise. He was on the right path, and when you talked to him, you got the sense that he truly knew who he was and where he was going with his life. He was a devoted father, son and friend who was always there for his loved ones.Aaron is survived by his parents, Jim and Joan Binnie, sons, Ryder Binnie and Dakota Sanders, and the love of his life, Corinna Mendoza. He is also survived by his grandparents, Ed and Roz Emerson, Jim and Dahlia Binnie, and his extended family, Jeanette, Chico, Marva, Jared, Chelise and BreAnna Detherage. Not to be forgotten, are his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends that will forever remember this great man. There will be a celebration of his life to be held in Fieldbrook, at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers and gifts, we ask that friends and family donate to Ryder and Dakota's educational fund set up at Redwood Capital Bank. Please remember Aaron for his easy laugh, his gentle smile, and loving soul. Hold those you love close always. Ride on, Binnie.
