Adele Bailey, 95 of Olathe, KS died February 2, 2011. Memorial service will be held in the future at the First Presbyterian Church of Olathe where Mrs. Bailey was a member. Mrs. Bailey donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center for research purposes. Memorials are suggested to the church.
Adele Hedda Wenzlaff Bailey was born in Wahoo, Nebraska on September 1, 1915 to Richard H. and Ethel V. (Johnson) Wenzlaff. She was an elementary teacher in her home town and in Hastings and Lincoln, Nebraska. She was married to Everett L. Bailey in Washington, D.C. on April 17, 1943. He predeceased her on May 8, 2008. Mr. Bailey retired in 1977 from the Olathe School District where he had been the Director of Orchestral Music.
Preceding Mrs. Bailey in death were he parents, and her husband.
Survivors include her daughter Paula Martin of Emporia, brother Dr. Richard D. Wenzlaff of Homer Glen, Illinois, and grandchildren Ryan Martin and Jill Martin.
