Obituary

Adele H. Martin (nee Skladanowski),88, of Buffalo Grove, was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Chicago, to the late John and Bernice Skladanowski, and passed away Nov. 2, 2012, at the Claremont Nursing Center in Buffalo Grove. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward John Martin; loving mother of Jeffrey E. (Marikay) Martin and Denise E. Miller; cherished grandmother of Kristen (Gregg) Swanson, Shauna (Robert Ritter) Martin, Daniel Martin, Richard Miller, Alyssa Martin, and great-grandmother of Marek Swanson; caring aunt of many nieces and nephews; and fond sister of the late Ted (late Helen) Sklade and the late Henry (the late Marilyn) Sklade. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL 60015. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Catholic Charities at www.catholiccharities.net, appreciated.
