Adeline Veronica Silva Renelle, affectionately known by her family and many friends as Dolly, passed away due to a stroke on April 9, 2012. Born in Atwater, CA in 1926, she was the eleventh of thirteen children of Manuel Silva and Mary Rodgers (Rodrigues). She grew up on her family's horse ranch and they later moved to San Jose, where she graduated from San Jose High School. She went on to work at the Rosecrutian Order and the General Electric Motor company as a secretary.She met her husband, Phil Renelle, an orchardist, at the Majestic Ballroom. She loved family gatherings, dancing, reading, quiz shows, wearing her large sunbonnets and referring to herself as 'a farmer's wife'.She is survived by her husband of 64 years and their three children; daughter Daphne Renelle, mother of Stephanie and Paul Landon; daughter Marlene Caredio (Len), mother of Bobby and Skye Budde and Jordan Silcox, who blessed them with their first great grandchild, Eva; and son Phil (Marsha), father of Meghan, Elliot, and Kendall.Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11am at Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill. Interment at Mt. Hope Memorial Park. A reception will follow.
