Obituary

Adolfo "Fito" Sanchez, passed away, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital at the age of 76. He was born August 14, 1933 to Leon Sanchez and Lorenza "Villanueva" Sanchez in Guadalupe County, Texas. He worked for Ott Plumbing Co. for several years and later was employed at New Braunfels Utilities. He retired from NBU in 1997 after many years of devoted service as a Supervisor. He was a deeply religious individual and was very active at Holy Family Catholic Church and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Adolfo "Fito" Sanchez, passed away, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife, Sulema Sanchez of New Braunfels; son, Jose Sanchez and wife Susann of Irving, TX; daughter, Rose Mary Rodriguez and late husband Leroy Rodriguez of College Station, TX; step-sons, Gilbert Villarreal and wife Anna of New Braunfels and Manuel Villarreal and wife Sylvia of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Francis Cantu and husband Arturo of New Braunfels and Mary Alice Martinez and husband Pete of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Mark Rodriguez, Jennifer Rodriguez, Mario Sanchez, Ashley Sanchez and Chalee Sanchez; step-grandchildren, Jose Villarreal, Gilbert Villarreal, Jr. and Ursula Villarreal; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ramon Sanchez.

Public Visitation will begin 1:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Sts. Peter & Paul Church with Reverend Tony Pesek celebrant. Services will conclude at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hospice.
