Agnes Ahrenkiel, age 91, a resident of Morrison, CO, and formerly of Hayward, WI, died on Friday, October 14, 201, at the Bear Creek Rehabilitation Center in Morrison, CO.
Agnes Adeline Miller was born on February 27, 1920, in Neillsville, Wisconsin to parents John and Clara (Dux) Miller. She worked as a waitress until she was married to Lawrence Ahrenkiel on April 7, 1938, in Hayward. After her marriage, she worked as a housekeeper for various resorts in the area until her Children were grown when she went back to work as a waitress at the Co-op Restaurant for 20 years until her retirement.
Agnes is survived by her children: Robert of Fremont, CA, Ronald (Darlene) of Lakewood, CO, sister Frances Saenger of Canon City, CO, and several nieces and nephews.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Harold, Louis, Jack, and sister Ruth.
Funeral services for Agnes Ahrenkiel will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 11 am at the Anderson Nathan Koerpel Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday from 10-11 am. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery next to her husband.

HI - I worked with Agnes (Aggie) several years - probably 1969-1972. I loved watching her work that coffee bar at the Co-op. She was a great gal and I enjoyed working with her. Carol Mooney Williamson
