We knew Katie through our friends in Newport News. What little we knew of her is that she was very quiet and reserved. She always spoke fondly of those she knew. In life she touched our hearts. Now in death she is in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the honor of knowing Katie and working with her for 14 years. Her dedication and hard work was exemplary. Katie worked non stop and set the bar high for all employees. Her attention to detail and eye for the perfection made her the best. She was kind and loving and her smile was quick....She talked of her family daily and shared photos of the often. During pot lucks at work everyone always looked forward to what ever Katie was bring that day....and she taught me how the cook rice (her way)....while that might seem silly to some to mention....she was my friend and my family....My prayers to all of her family. My God comfort you all during this time....I will miss you Katie.
