DUNN, Alan Dennis Fitzpatrick September 19, 1935-November 4, 2012 Passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (nee Lincoln) (2005), his son Michael (2005), and his sister Sheila Stahl. Dear father to Robert and Andrea (Mike) Wilson. Grandfather to Thomas and Alex Wilson. Brother to Irene (Martin) Van Zandwyck and June Clarke. Brother-in-law to Pollyann (Jon) Johnston, and Albert (Joanne) Lincoln. Passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara (nee Lincoln) (2005), his son Michael (2005), and his sister Sheila Stahl. Dear father to Robert and Andrea (Mike) Wilson. Grandfather to Thomas and Alex Wilson. Brother to Irene (Martin) Van Zandwyck and June Clarke. Brother-in-law to Pollyann (Jon) Johnston, and Albert (Joanne) Lincoln. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. When Alan was only thirteen he became the youngest member of the bagpipe band. He started off his career as a journalist for the Winnipeg Free Press. Alan then found his calling as a teacher and eventually principal for the Board of Education. He was an avid volunteer and became the chairman of the library board and was very instrumental in the building of the library. A Memorial Service will be held at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will take place prior to the service.
