Alan Hope Innes A very proud full blooded Scot was born to Jean (Hope) and Andrew Innes in Lorain Ohio, he grew up playing and watching all sports, his favorites being baseball and hockey. Al served in the US Navy during World War II. Al and Mary Jane were married in 1949 and they subsequently moved to Phoenix Arizona, where they started a family. Al worked through the ranks at AiResearch (Garrett, Honeywell) retiring after 35 years. He started as a Machinist Trainee and retired as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. A very proud full blooded Scot was born to Jean (Hope) and Andrew Innes in Lorain Ohio, he grew up playing and watching all sports, his favorites being baseball and hockey. Al served in the US Navy during World War II. Al and Mary Jane were married in 1949 and they subsequently moved to Phoenix Arizona, where they started a family. Al worked through the ranks at AiResearch (Garrett, Honeywell) retiring after 35 years. He started as a Machinist Trainee and retired as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Al earned the respect of those he worked for and of those who worked for him. Al put in long hours going above and beyond what was expected of him. He earned his remarkable success by working hard being fair and inspiring those who worked for him. Al hired and promoted some of the most talented people at Garrett during his career. His retirement years were spent playing golf and traveling extensively with Mary Jane throughout Scotland, England, Europe, the US and Canada.

Al leaves behind his wife Mary Jane, son David, daughter-in-law Terri, grandson Andrew (Chantel), twins great grandson Brodie and great granddaughter Bentley. Al is also survived by his daughter Karen, son-in-law David Wallace, grandson James and his wife Sarah.

The family wishes to express our sincere appreciation to Loretta Hullinger and her staff at Ahwatukee Adult Services, for their compassionate care and support over the past several months.

Services will be held Thursday 12/19/13 at 2:30 PM, Green Acres Mortuary 401 N Hayden Road Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity, Hospice of Arizona or the .
