Alan John.Born in Kitchener on April 16, 1947, Al, peacefully passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Loving son of the late John & Anne (nee Dean) Spak. Dear brother of the late Donna Sanders. Uncle of Julie, Lori and Kathleen and their families. Al was a member of the K40 Club of Preston, Past President of the Kinsmen Club of Preston, Past District Officer and Life Member of the Association of Kinsmen Clubs, and a member of the Rotary Club of Cambridge North. Alan John.Born in Kitchener on April 16, 1947, Al, peacefully passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Loving son of the late John & Anne (nee Dean) Spak. Dear brother of the late Donna Sanders. Uncle of Julie, Lori and Kathleen and their families.
Al was a member of the K40 Club of Preston, Past President of the Kinsmen Club of Preston, Past District Officer and Life Member of the Association of Kinsmen Clubs, and a member of the Rotary Club of Cambridge North. He also was a volunteer driver for PATER and a member of St. Clement's Parish. Al was an Electrician by trade and worked as a Maintenance Electrician with various companies. He worked as a Premise Officer for the Canada Trust Company and TD Bank for twenty years before retiring in 2007. An avid sports fan with a passion for Stock Cars and he loved his Toronto Maple Leafs.
Friends will be received at Barthel Funeral Home 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519) 653-3251 on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2-4 pm. & 7-9pm. Parish prayers will be recited on Sunday afternoon at 1:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Cambridge on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10am. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. In memory of Al, donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, or Alzheimer Society Cambridge would be appreciated.
