Albert F. (Dick) Bell, Jr., age 78, of Alpharetta, GA , took his flight home to be with his Jesus on April 15, at his residence following an extended illness surrounded by his loving blended family. Mr. Bell was born July 8, 1935 in Upland, Delaware County, PA., to his late parents, Albert F. (Dick) Bell, Sr., and Elizabeth C. (Tee) Bell. Although reared in the Catholic church, Mr. Bell attended and enjoyed worship at Christ The Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alpharetta, GA. He was preceded in death by his precious parents, and his dearly loved sister, Dr. Elizabeth C. Bell, his brother-in-law, Buford Palmer, whom he had come to love and...
Albert F. (Dick) Bell, Jr., age 78, of Alpharetta, GA , took his flight home to be with his Jesus on April 15, at his residence following an extended illness surrounded by his loving blended family.

Mr. Bell was born July 8, 1935 in Upland, Delaware County, PA., to his late parents, Albert F. (Dick) Bell, Sr., and Elizabeth C. (Tee) Bell. Although reared in the Catholic church, Mr. Bell attended and enjoyed worship at Christ The Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alpharetta, GA. He was preceded in death by his precious parents, and his dearly loved sister, Dr. Elizabeth C. Bell, his brother-in-law, Buford Palmer, whom he had come to love and referred to as brother. Mr. Bell loved Jesus and enjoyed his Pastor's homebound ministry and communion.

Survivors, include his wife, Mary Lou Bell, Alpharetta; two sons, Robert Bell of Marietta, GA and Richard Bell, Athens, GA; 1 Brother, Steven Bell of Chester, PA; One grandson, Steven Bell, Marietta, GA (the apple of his eye); 1 Chosen Daughter, Ty (James) Whitmire of LaFayette, GA; 1 Chosen Son, Lee Murphree of Ringgold, GA; Granddaughters … Cynthia Mills of LaFayette, GA; Evelyn Michelle (Jordan) Wilson of Apison, TN; Katie McCauley of Mt. Juliet, TN; Marianna McCauley of LaFayette, GA; Emily Murphree, Valerie Murphree, and Isabelle Murphree of Ringgold, Ga; 1 very special Great-Granddaughter, Selah Hill ; and 2 Great-Grandsons, Mikey and Nate Mills, of LaFayette, GA; 3 Nephews, Dr. Joseph Piorkowski (Margie), Great Falls, VA; Dr. Tom Piorkowski (Janice), Glen Falls, PA; Mike (Terri) Piorkowski, Glen Falls, PA; 3 Nieces, Anne (Jim) Hovis, Great Falls,VA; Dr. Beth (John) Ruskey, Stone Harbor, NJ; Chris (Rob) Barth, Charlottesville, VA; 1 great nephew and several great nieces also survive.

Mr. Bell graduated from Swarthmore High School and Pennsylvania Military College, Chester, PA, where he Earned his B.S. in Bus. Adm., was commissioned as 2nd LT into the U.S. Army Active Reserves, was honorably discharged as 1st LT. Mr. Bell's career in Paper and Printed Packaging spanned more than 45 years at Scott Paper Co., Philadelphia, PA; Bagcraft Corporation of America, Chicago, IL; and, DB&A Associates, Inc., Alpharetta, GA (a brokerage firm ) which he began 16 years ago.
Mr. Bell loved being active in various sports; was a popular youth sports coach during his 2 sons school years; Member of Spalding Woods Swim & Tennis where he played with the same guys 3 decades on ALTA teams; member competitive swim teams high school and college; HS Honor for Leader of Undefeated Football Team; Earned 6 Peachtree T-Shirts; Amateur Golf and avid Braves & Falcons fan. Member of VFW Post 2006 Alpharetta, GA.
Mr. Bell was loved and adored as mentor, counselor, and Patriarch of his blended family. A truly remarkable man who will be missed by all who encountered him, his wit, and his winning smile. All who knew him enjoyed every encounter which will be missed but not forgotten – but none more than his wife, Mary!
Honorary Pallbearers can be none other than CTS Lutheran Church Elders who prayed us through miracles the past two years. They were always there for us!
A very special Thank You to LongLeaf Hospice and especially to LaShanda Franklin who is the very best; Natasha Hudson and Maila Ralbs (Emory-Johns Creek Hospital) and Ascia Mote (Home Nursing) who were so faithful to administer exceptional care to Mr. Bell and his family. God bless each of you richly!
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23rd in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA, with Pastor Kevin Elseroad officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m.Tuesday, April 22nd , Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA.
A meal for Family and Friends will be served in the Fellowship Hall of Christ The Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4655 Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, Ga. following internment.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to CTS Lutheran Church, General Fund, 4655 Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA, 30022, or Penfield Christian Home, 1031 New Dorm Road, Union Point, GA 30669.
