Alberta Jean "Dickie" Patroff, 86, of Peoria, Illinois, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Proctor Endowment Home in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on November 20, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of Anton and Garnet (Miller) Schaffer. She married Frank J. Patroff on September 13, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1998 in Peoria, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Alvin Schaffer and Frank Melvin Schaffer and one sister, Isabell Moews Manning.
She is survived by Ruby Caterall a sister of McLaughlin, Wisconsin, Alvina Wroblewski a sister of Peoria, Illinois, Gerald L. (Pattie) Schaffer a brother of Peoria, Elizabeth Ann "Bambi" Schaffer-Marcille a sister of Peoria, and Jane Schaffer a sister in law of Peoria. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Alberta was a secretary for 16 years at Fleming and Potter retiring in 1962. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Peoria. She and her husband were past members of the Elks Lodge in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Father Terry Cassidy will officiate. A visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council #4333 of Peoria. You may create an online condolence at www.davison-fulton-bartonvillechapel.
