Albertha Dena Brand, 90, of Nashville, passed away November 4th at Brown County Health & Living Community. She was born November 3, 1922 in Indianapolis to the late August & Catherine Albertha (DeKruff) Harkema. Albertha was a homemaker & a former cook at the Nashville House & Sprunica Elementary School. Her memberships include St. Agnes Catholic Church & Hickory Ridge Senior Citizens Club. Albertha loved making quilts & painting, she won many ribbons at the Brown County 4-H Fair for her work.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1008 McClary Rd., Nashville, with Father Eric Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 7 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville.
Survivors include her children, Sharon R. Kirts, Fishers, IN, Phyllis Jo Kirts, Spearsville, IN, Terrance L. Brand, Edmonton, Ky, Jennifer A. Brand, Indianapolis, IN, Michael D. Brand, Greenwood, IN, & John P. Brand, Nashville, IN, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, & two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother & her husband, George Brand on August 25, 1986.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Ridge Senior Citizens Club, 2314 Hickory Ridge Lane, Morgantown, IN. 46160.
