Alexander C. George Hoch, 93, passed away November 16, 2012 at Brick Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hoch was born in Newark, moving to Linden, Edison for 25 years, North Carolina for 20 years and finally settling in Leisure Village in Lakewood for the past 10 years. Alexander graduated from Linden High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Hoch worked for the Balentine / Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery for many years as a driver. He enjoyed riding around in his power chair and watching local golfers. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Hoch is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. Alexander is survived by his two daughters, Hope Zmyewski and her husband Chester and Pat Rickabaugh and her husband Rick five grandchildren, Michael, John, Christine, Karyn, and Steve and seven great grandchildren, Amber, Ryley, Kaitlin, Carolyn, Michael Jr., Samantha, and Charlie. Friends may call Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 2-6 pm at the D'Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 9:30AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
