Alexandra Lynn Jones Crayton was born to Johnnie Jones Jr. and Patricia Ann Watts on September 18, 1968 in Garden City, Kansas. She departed this life May 31st, 2014. She is survived by her Father and Mother, Husband Charles Crayton, Son Darius Jones and Step-son Khyle Crayton, Sisters Tammie Whitfield and Demiatris Jones and Nieces Darren Tapia and Tanaya Jones and Nephew Isaiah Robinson and a of host cousins, aunts and uncles. Alexandra Lynn Jones Crayton was born to Johnnie Jones Jr. and Patricia Ann Watts on September 18, 1968 in Garden City, Kansas. She departed this life May 31st, 2014. She is survived by her Father and Mother, Husband Charles Crayton, Son Darius Jones and Step-son Khyle Crayton, Sisters Tammie Whitfield and Demiatris Jones and Nieces Darren Tapia and Tanaya Jones and Nephew Isaiah Robinson and a of host cousins, aunts and uncles.

Alexandra received her Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Grambling University and her Masters Degree in Public Administration from University of New Mexico.

She was the Management Assistant for the City of Phoenix- Budget and Research Department before she took a medical retirement.

She became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc the Phoenix Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter in 2004. (AKA Dime Piece #10) Lynn, as she was lovingly called by her family, held numerous positions in the Chapter. She held the position of Financial Secretary, Chair of Social Action Committee that was responsible for creating an Executive Order for Arizona African American Affairs Commission. Lynn was a member of the Founders Day, and Hospitality committees.

She was affiliated with the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and
The American Society of Public Administrators. She also served as a Board member for The
City of Chandler Healthcare, and The Chandler Center for the Performing Arts.
She was recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as an under 40 Leader, and
was a participant in the Valley Leadership Institute.

Alexandra Lynn shared this commitment to her sorority and chapter, "Delta has reminded me that Black women are a formidable force of power and grace. We collectively can accomplish much with God's grace and blessings. Delta has given me a renewed appreciation of sisterhood and a stronger sense of self. "

She was a devoted Christian and a devoted member of Cornerstone Church and she was so devoted to her family and friends. Alexandra Lynn was a true inspiration to those who knew her. Her faith and love for God was contagious. Alexandra Lynn will be greatly missed!

Family and friends are invited to attend 2L00 PM Memorial Services at Cornerstone Church, 1595 S. Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ 85286 on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
