Alice was born to John and Alice Wilson in Salina, Kansas on March 27, 1955. In 1958, she and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Maryvale High School, Phoenix College, and Glendale Community College. In 1972, Alice joined the police explorers which prepared her for a job as a Phoenix Police Officer. Later, she became a dispatcher for the fire department and a 911 operator for the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Most recently, Alice loved teaching as an instructor for DPS, educating highway patrol officers. She is survived by her husband, Andy, her three children, Adam, Andrew, and Angela, her mother, Alice, her brothers, John and David, and her best friend Tammee. Alice most enjoyed being a mother, taking on roles including soccer coach for 3 years and home room mom. She enjoyed playing the flute, horseback riding, riding her motorcycle, and taking classes to obtain an A.A. in psycology. Alice's family and friends will remember her for spreading joy everywhere she went and letting people know how much she loved and valued them. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Chaparral Christian Church at 6451 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations in Alice's name to Hospice of the Valley.

Alice was the girl in HS that I envied. She and her father were very close and I wanted that for myself. She showed me the love of Jesus without me knowing!! I dearly loved her and she never realized what an impact she had had on my life. I was born-again, and now understand her incredible joy and patience. She has a crown in heaven for many people were changed by her love. I neglected her for 20 some years until I got Facebook, she was the first person I tried to find. I thanked her for her inspiration and dedication to Jesus. Ken and I pastor a small church in ne az and will paint a verse on the wall in her memory.

Alice didn't really leave us; a part of her lives on in all of us, through all the fond memories. She will stay in our hearts forever. After that, she will feel what we feel. Our Lord has called another Angel home.
