Alice "Mickie" Seifriz Andahl, 91, of Edmonds, Washington died January 23rd, 2010. She was born to Alice and Otto Seifriz, October 26, 1918 in Seattle. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She attended Business School and worked for the Seattle Rainer Baseball team.
She married Stanley Andahl October 4, 1940 in Olympia, Washington. They had three children, Arlene, Bruce and Susan. The family was very close and spent their time together camping, fishing and hunting.
In 1958, Mickie went to work part time for the Edmonds School District, retiring as the Kitchen Manager for six schools. After retirement Stan and Mickie continued to camp, fish and hunt with their children and grandsons. People said, "If you see one Andahl, you see them all!"
Mickie was active in Trinity Lutheran Church Ruth Circle, Knute Rochne Lodge #12, Meadowdale Community Club and Meadowdale Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Andahl and sister Genevieve Finney.
She is survived by daughter Arlene (John) Orbeck, son Bruce (Lori) Andahl and daughter Susan (Ben) Krause. Grandsons Tracy (Cindy) Krause, Travis (Jennifer) Krause, Tony Krause, Lance Andahl, T.J. Andahl, Chad (Erika) Andahl, Luke (Jessica) Andahl and nine great grandchildren.
Private burial at Floral Hills cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 6215 196th Street S.W. Lynnwood, Washington, 98036 or charity of your choice.
