Alice Evelyn Anjo died November 1, 2013 at Kingwood Medical Center surrounded by family and friend. Alice was born June 11, 1952 in Orillia, Ontario, Canada to Evelyn and John Anjo. She attended schools in Canada, graduating from the University of Toronto. She earned her MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Alice spent many years in banking working for JP Morgan Chase both in Rochester, NY and Houston, TX. She was their truth teller. Wonder if a project would be successful? Ask Anjo. She retired as a corporate vice president.

However, Alice did not just retire. She became the ring leader and chief instigator of projects and fun for the Kingwood Quilt Guild, the Knitting in Kingwood group, the Saturday Strippers and the local ASG chapter. She was a champion bag maker - hand bags, lunch bags, shopping bags, any bag. Her fabric stash is….(wait for it) LEGENDARY! She also supported the local dachshund rescue organizations.

Alice is survived by her son, Paul Steinberg of Kingwood, Texas, brother Bill (Vera) Anjo of Aurora, Ontario, Canada, brother David of Saigon, Viet Nam, nieces Katrina, Maeve and Sarah and nephews Mikhail and Tony all of Ontario, Canada, longtime friends Martha Mosher of Seneca Castle, New York, Judith Wilson of Ontario, Canada, and her treasured rescued dachshunds Kelis and Willie.

She was predeceased by her parents. Waiting on the Rainbow Bridge to welcome her home are toy greyhound Lady Jane and dachshunds Alex and Kimora. She is pack leader once again. S.I.R.

Calling hours will be Sunday November 3rd from 3-5 pm at her home. Interment of ashes will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Texas Tail Waggle Dachshund Rescue Sanctuary of Conroe, TX, Dachshund Rescue of Houston or any children's reading program of choice.
