Alice Marie Fox, 90, of Jackson, formerly of Albion passed away Monday July 2, 2012 at Allegiance Health in Jackson. She was born April 4, 1922 in Albion, Michigan to Henry and Ella Mary (Marz) Hartwig. On April 27, 1946, she was married to Howard W. Fox in Albion and he preceded her in death November 30, 1998.
She has been a resident of the area all of her life, she was a Homemaker. During World War II, she helped in the war effort by making rivets in the manufacturing plant. She helped her husband with the Scout Mastering duties and she was also a den mother for Cub Scouts. She was a member and deaconess of the First Presbyterian Church in Albion and also past president of the women's association of the church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Albion Chapter # 124.
She is survived by 4 sons Henry F. Fox; Bruce A. Fox; and Craig E. (Jackie) Fox, all of Jackson, MI; and Thomas G. (Linda) Fox of San Mateo, CA; 2 Grandchildren Nicole (Michael) Robison of Jackson; Craig E. Fox of Brooklyn; 4 Great Grandchildren Austin and Shay Fox ; and Alexander and Noah Robison. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister Norma Ackley; and 2 Brothers Harold and Carlton Hartwig.
According to her wishes, Cremation has taken place and their will be a Memorial Service on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 305 East Porter Street, Albion, MI 49224 with Rev. Karen Haak officiating. The Family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday July 7, 2012 from 10:30 A.M. until Service Time
