Alice Elaine Harris, 60, of Johns Creek, Ga., died Monday, July 2, 2012. Miss Harris was born July 8, 1951 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late Jamie Lee Harris and Bettye Jordan Harris. She was a faithful member of the 2nd Ponce De Leon Baptist Church, was a lifelong resident of Buckhead, enjoyed traveling and spent numerous summers and vacations on the family farm in Emerson. She was a wonderful sister and aunt. She was a retired data transcriber for the State of Ga. Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include her sisters, Beverly Lee Harris, of Johns Creek, Elizabeth Joan Harris, of Sarasota, Florida and Sara Virginia...

Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include her sisters, Beverly Lee Harris, of Johns Creek, Elizabeth Joan Harris, of Sarasota, Florida and Sara Virginia Harris, of Johns Creek, one brother, James Winfield Harris, of Marietta, and several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 5, 2012 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Emerson cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. Thursday.
