Survivors include sister-in-law, Thelma Goetze, and several nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Bradley University with a degree in journalism, Alice became a free lance journalist.  She was a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, and was listed in Marquis "Who's Who of American Women."  During that time, she also published two books, a mystery and a memoir.  Quite adroit at oil painting, many of her paintings were sold at auction.  She was a member of several of the golf leagues in Peoria.  Alice was also a member of the American Association of University Women, Mt. Hawley Country Club, Peoria Country Club, Antique Automobile Club of America, Sisters in Crime, and Arcadia Presbyterian Church.

The family would like to thank all of Alice's nurses who cared for her – Debbie, Jill, Joyce, Judy, Katie, Kris, Liz, Margie, Mary Therese, Shari, and Tracy.
