Allan Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 13, 2017.

Allan L. "Bud" Davis, 68, passed from this life Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson.

Visitation will be 12:00-2:00pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Bud was born November 21, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, a son of the late John W. Davis and Florence Fox Davis.

Bud served in the U.S. Navy and was awarded the Purple Heart. A retired master carpenter, Bud owned and operated Allan L. Davis Construction for several years. He also served as an EMT, police officer, and was a certified rescue diver. His hobbies included reading and putting together models. Always ready to help, Bud was considered the "neighborhood handyman", and could always be counted on to assist with holiday food collections for needy families.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Phyllis Pritchett Davis; son, Marshall Davis; sister, Sherry Dunlap; and granddaughter, Harlie Darien Davis Buffalo.
