Allan Jacobs, 87, of West Melbourne, passed away Wednesday July 3, 2013. Allan was born in Lawrenceburg, KY in 1925.
Allan served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II before graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He had a successful career in Satellite Communications and received many awards as a result of his accomplishments at GTE Spacenet prior to his retirement in 1990. After retirement, Allan and his wife relocated to Indialantic, Florida to relax, fish, and enjoy motor homing, and great times with family and good friends. He was a long time member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
They moved to Buena Vida Estates in 2005 where they enjoyed many wonderful friendships and were warmly embraced by the fine people of Buena Vida, as well as many new activities.
He is survived by his loving wife Madeline, his daughter Nancy (John) Schmitz; sons: Stephen (Patty) Jacobs and David (Sunny) Jacobs; as well as his beloved grandchildren: Evan, Jessica, James, Alex, Kyle, and many extended family.
The beloved memories of him will always and forever be in the hearts of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buena Vida Foundation.
