Allen Dee Thomas, our loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa passed away on June 19th, at age of 78. He was born number ten out of twelve children on January 5, 1934 in Brigham City, Utah to George and Gladys Thomas. At the age of five his family moved to the California and settled in the Pasadena area. In 1955 he met and married the love of his life, Jaydene Ruth Bray. They spent 57 years in the San Gabriel Valley raising 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

There are three things that best would describe Dad's many attributes: he was determined, had a zest for life, and a love of family. Whether it was one of the many health issues he faced in life or just the day-to-day of raising four children, Dad was always determined to overcome, steadily do what was needed to improve, and come back stronger. Perhaps this determination, which he passed on to his four children, was best described by a rock that was given to him by a friend that had the words "Steady as a Rock" inscribed on it. His zest for life was evident in everything he would – driving trucks or riding motorcycles, dancing, singing one of his many made up songs, or having a story to share on any topic. If doing any of these activities involved doing something for, or being with his family, that was what made him truly happy and his joy full. These attributes will be remembered and respected by all who knew him. We LOVE you Dad!
