Allyn W. Burgstahler, 92, of Winter Park, Florida (formerly of Buffalo, NY) passed away on February 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Comforter. Mr. Burgstahler was born on March 19, 1923 in Buffalo, New York to the late Gottlieb and Florence (Williams) Burgstahler. Allyn was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII. He was a retired high voltage maintenance electrician. Allyn was a member of Transportation Lodge 842 where he was the Past Master and a member of the Zulieka Grotto (Past Monarch) both of Buffalo, NY; Past Monarch of Ormazd Grotto of Orlando, FL and lastly Past Grand Monarch of the Grottos of North America. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Dean and Jean. Survivors include his children, Donna Daly, Cheri Harper, Dennis Burgstahler and Dawn Raney; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Gotha, FL 407-293-1361. I served Communion, from Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, to he and Mildred many times. He was a man of deep faith and was ready to go meet his Lord. I will truly miss seeing him and his smiling face.
