Alma Paige Foley, 84 of Inwood, WV, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2013.
Born on August 1, 1928 in Summit Point, WV; she was the daughter of the late Stormer and Virginia Howell.
Alma graduated from Charles Town High School in 1947 and Kings Daughter Nursing School in 1950. She was an Operating Room nurse at Kings Daughters Hospital and then later went to City Hospital and continued to work in the Operating Room.
After the death of her husband William W. Foley who served in WW II and the Korean War, in 1975 she transferred to the VA Center and worked the floors as a Registered Nurse. She retired in 1990 after 13 years.
She loved playing bingo with her friends at the Senior Center. Alma had accepted Jesus as her personal savior at the age of 74. She was always a loving mother and grandmother and loved the Lord.
She is survived by a brother Frank and wife Shirley of Kabletown WV with four children and six grand children and one great grandchild. A sister, Virginia Willingham in Williamsport MD with two children, four grand children, and two great grand children. Two sons, Michael and wife Laura Foley with two grand children David and Andrea Foley from Tucson Arizona. Scott and wife Annette Foley with two grand daughters Dakota and Hannah Foley of Martinsburg.
Special thanks to John and Barb for picking mom up to go to bingo every Friday; also Finney Dorsey of Inwood for being a long time loving friend our mom.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11:00am at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
