COLUMBIA - Alpha Leannis Cabe, 94, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2016.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Alpha was born April 29, 1922, in Fairland, Indiana, to John and Frances Thomas Daws. She attended Faith Baptist Church and was formerly a member of The Order of The Eastern Star.
Ms. Cabe was employed by several restaurants in the Columbia area over the years, including Ship Ahoy, Stadium Steak House, and Bernie's. She was known for her love of animals and flowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Deloris Evilsizer, and her husband Marshall of Castle Rock, Colorado; her son, William Dean Everhart, and his wife Carolyn of Norman, Indiana; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. One grandson, Steven, and her husband, Msgt. Clay Cabe preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society, 121 Humane Ln, Columbia, SC 29209.
